Ahead of Chelsea vs Barcelona Archibald: Torres and Drogba Barca threat

BARCELONA - Former Barcelona striker Steve Archibald denied the prospect of an English club to win the Champions League is wide open. Chelsea is the only British representative who was competing in Europe's elite competition, although the Blues are in the position only six Premier League standings.

Archibald who was grazing at White Hart Lane between the years 1980-1984, and joined at the Camp Nou for a season, argued that La Liga better than Premier League.

"Without a doubt, football is much better Spanish than English football. Premier League may have a higher speed and more interesting, but the La Liga has exceptional quality, "said Archibald,

"That's why the Spanish club will always have a greater chance to win the Champions League rather than the English club. English football has not changed much. Much money has been invested in it, but the game does not grow! "He continued.

He even believes Pep Guardiola's foster children have a chance to win the match. The Scottish striker was later claimed that Chelsea are also still have a chance to beat Barca at Stamford Bridge later.

"If Chelsea want to win, they must do so in the opening 15 minutes. They must do so very quickly, after 15 or 20 minutes into the future, I think they can not do anything, "he added.

Archibald added that Torres would be a major threat to Barca players in addition to the Ivory Coast international Didier Drogba.

"Torres is a threat, with the goals and the opportunities he created for his score. While Drogba is very strong, he played well against Barca in the past, he will be back either later tonight, "he concluded.
