Darwin, a giant crocodile terrorizing the Darwin, Australia. With a length of 4.43
meter crocodile is believed to have preyed on at least nine dogs owned by
residents.
It all began when one resident said she saw a huge crocodile under the mango tree in his back yard last week. Crocodiles are known to hide in the Daly River in the area, about 225 km from the center of Darwin.
Local police have received nine reports of dogs that killed the crocodile devoured in the past month. Locals also feel uneasy with the presence of crocodiles in their home environment.
"Crocodiles are very dangerous and threaten us, but you can not see where they are. They may be quiet for a few days by the river and see your fishing in the same location - that's how they find their prey. And then what happens is your dog is gone, "said local police officer, Mark Casey,
Wild animals were allegedly started approaching residential areas inhabited by 500 people, when the river discharge decreases. Crocodiles also prey on some of the children had a kangaroo in the region.
On Tuesday (1/5), the local authorities managed to capture a giant crocodile. But unfortunately, it is estimated there are 2 crocodile tail with similar size and a crocodile with a smaller size that still roam the Daly River and its surroundings.
"They will eat anything. I was on patrol today and I saw a woman and five children was cool to fishing in the river. It makes me worry," said Casey.
