New Delhi, India Police have arrested an Indian businessman linked the killing
of a French woman in New Delhi, India.
The bodies of 34-year-old victim was found in a decayed condition last week at a guesthouse in Paharganj, the backpackers favorite among tourists, which is located near the main train station in New Delhi.
Devesh Chandra Srivastava, a police official said on Monday (04.09.2012), the suspect was ordered kanar guesthouse where the bodies of the victims were found decomposed. Indian man is a handicraft shop owners in the area.
According to Srivastava, the suspect had fled before the police arrested on Sunday, April 8 in Srinagar, Kashmir India.
"We have interrogated him," said Srivastava.
Victim's identity has not been released. But according to local media, the Times of India quoted the victim's sister, she is a teacher who had just arrived in India on 19 March.
Police also have not provided official information about the cause of death. But according to some Indian media, she died of strangulation. This motive is unknown.
