China Helps North Korea Rocket Launch

SEOUL - Officials of the United Nations (UN) began investigating reports that, the provision of missile technology by China to North Korea (Korea). If that proves true, this incident violated UN rules.

IHS defense journal Jane's Defence quoted a UN official who is familiar with one of the committee in charge of the UN Security Council to impose sanctions. The statement says, the situation will be investigated.

China-made rocket launchers for medium-range missiles reportedly appeared on Sunday last week, on the anniversary of Kim Jong Il-100 in Pyongyang, North Korea. China even thought to give the design a missile launcher and the vehicle to the North.

Transporter Erector Launcher rocket launcher (TEL) belongs to the North, is one of the objects designed in the Company's Space Science and Industry in China. When the sale of rocket launchers were carried from China to North Korea, it is the same as violating UN rules that forbid North Korea conducted missile tests in 2006 and 2009. Similarly,

One defense analyst at South Korea (ROK) Baek Seung Joo said the vehicle to transport the rocket launchers were imported by the North of China as a non-military vehicles. The transaction would not be classified to the UN Security Council Resolution violations.
