BEIJING, company-owned cargo ship hijacked cruise from Chinese pirates in the Gulf of Oman, off the coast of Iran, Friday (06/04/2012) this. China urges Iran to help free the ship.
Information obtained by the Chinese Embassy in Tehran, Iran, said the ship was named Xiang Hua Men pirates attacked Friday morning in the waters near the Port of Chabahar, south Iran. Detail not mentioned piracy and pirates citizenship.
According to news agency Xinhua, the Chinese embassy in Tehran has deployed an emergency operation to rescue the ship. "Chinese embassy immediately contacted the relevant Iranian authorities and demanded that Iran did everything possible to free the ship and its crew," he disclosed Xinhua.
According to China Radio International, Xiang Hua Men vessels operated by shipping companies based in the town of Yuanyang Nanjing, eastern China. The ship was carrying 28 crew.
Chinese vessels are often the target of pirate attacks in waters around the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden pirate-prone. About 85 percent of China's oil imports and 60 percent of its exports using the path through the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean
