Machine has been Corrected, Azamara Quest Sailing Back

MANILA, The initial cruise Azamara Quest managed to fix the engine of the ship. Now the ship containing 1,000 men sailed slowly to the port of Sandakan in Sabah, Malaysia.

Philippine Coast Guard spokesman Lieutenant Commander Algier Ricafrente said, the cruise ship reported on Saturday (03/31/2012) this evening that the ship power and propulsion systems have been functioning again. The ship is now sailing towards Sandakan forward with the speed of 3-6 knots (about 5.6 to 11 kilometers per hour) and is expected to reach destination within 24 hours to 48 hours.

According to the company's official statement operator Club Azamara Cruises ship, the company's president, Larry Pimentel will personally greet the passengers in Sandakan. The company has also canceled the remainder of the cruise ship itineraries and restore full fare paid by passengers.

The ship was carrying 590 passengers and 411 crew. Most of the passengers were citizens of the United States and Britain. They were adrift at sea all day Saturday before the machine can be repaired.
