New species of dinosaur discovered


Gambaran dinosaurusThis is an example of the largest birdlike dinosaur ever found in North America. Bird-like dinosaur previously known to be more common in Asia.

As reported by the BBC's Jane O'Brien in Washington, a new species of dinosaur identified through most of three skeletons found in Dakota.

Anzu name is taken from Mesopotamian mythology to refer to the devil bird.

They believe the discovery of this new species provide deeper clues about how dinosaurs became extinct 66 million years ago.

According to researchers, there is evidence to suggest

dinosaur populations flourished before 66 million years ago, but later became extinct dinosaur populations asteroid attack.

However, a number of mysteries yet to be revealed. One specimen of Anzu has a broken bone fracture and the other two showed signs toes becomes inflamed joints
