Hubble Space Telescope captured the image of the spiral galaxy NGC 2683. The galaxy shapes resembling alien spacecraft that is often depicted in science fiction film that at the Astronaut Memorial Planetarium astronomer and Observatory dubbed "UFO galaxy".
Hubble captured image shows the galaxies form when viewed from the side. This perspective provides an opportunity for astronomers to see details and silhouettes of dust on the banks of golden color in the center of the galaxy.
NASA released this image, on Friday (3/30/2012) ago. In the image of this galaxy, astronomers can see that NGC 2683 is rich and hot young stars are shown in blue.
NGC 2683 was found on February 5, 1788 by the famous astronomer, William Herschel. These galaxies inhabit the Lynx constellation, the constellation that looks so dim that requires sensitive eyes to observe celestial objects that exist in the area.
Advanced Camera for Surveys instrument on the Hubble Space Telescope captured this image of the galaxy in visible light and infrared waves.
