Today husband Longer Can He was from his wife

During this time, the man regarded as the weaker sex because of the age of the average life expectancy is relatively lower. However, this difference is diminishing and it is thought the man of today will live longer than women.

Not only in adulthood, the notion that men are the weaker sex is also evident in the womb. In unfavorable conditions of the uterus, the fetus can survive permepuan more than male fetuses are more susceptible to miscarriage.

So growing up, worldwide statistics show that women tend to live relatively longer than men. No wonder, because unhealthy lifestyles such as smoking are likely to be more often done by men.

The gap in life expectancy between men and women are most visible in the years around the 1970s, when smoking rates are high. At that time, women have the opportunity to live an average 6 years longer than men.

But now along with the reduced number of smokers, the gap is shrinking, and even predicted that one day a man can live longer than women. Reduced number of smokers make men more often die prematurely due to illness.

"Nowadays men are far less frequent than before smoking, treatment of heart disease is also more sophisticated so that the life chances of men continues to increase," said Professor Leslie Mayhew of City University in London,

Although premature death in males triggered by unhealthy lifestyles and chronic diseases will be decreasing, there are still other factors that make women still likely to live longer.

According to Prof. Mayhew, men are still more prone to die young because of other reasons such as traffic accidents.
