Lorenzo Optimistic Look Series Opener



Losail - Performance Yamaha ciamik shown in three Qatar MotoGP free practice. Jorge Lorenzo was optimistic 'Tim Fork Tala' would achieve good results in qualifying and the race later.

In the first free practice session Lorenzo finished second, 0.714 seconds difference from Casey Stoner. The difference as he cut in the second session last night to just .214, though still lagging behind Stoner.

However, in the third session of Lorenzo eventually became the fastest with a time of 1 minute 55, 302 seconds or 0.372 ahead of Stoner, who finished third.

Not only Lorenzo's teammate Ben Spies also performed quite well in the two earlier sessions in which both end Spies in fourth. But unfortunately the crash at the third session to Spies only finish at number 11.

Performance so that makes Lorenzo optimistic if his team would be able to show off in the qualifying session and especially during the race tomorrow at the Losail circuit, which in the last three seasons has always won by Stoner.

Moreover not only the manufacturer teams, Yamaha satellite team was also fascinating look at the last two Free Practice session. Cal Crutchlow finished the 8th and the second, while Andrea Dovizioso completed the second session in order to-3 and finished at number four on the final session.

"I am very happy today because our lap times improved a lot compared to yesterday. I am also pleased to Cal in the second session, the motor shows up much better than last year," Lorenzo said in Autosport.

"I think we have more potential for improvement tomorrow (qualifying session). There are still some issues we had to finish, especially when entering a corner, but we can still maintain our speed," he continued.

"I will try as hard as possible for tomorrow's qualifying session and we'll see what we can do" due diligence.
