The case involved abuse of domestic workers in the U.S., Taiwan Diplomat impeached

Taipei, Taiwan impeached as a diplomat involved in domestic abuse cases (PRT) in the United States (U.S.). Female diplomat who recently deported from the United States is considered tarnished Taiwan's image in international eyes.

Lia Hsien-hsien (64) which is the former head of the consulate general of Taiwan in Kansas City, Missouri, was deported from the U.S. in February. Liu had pleaded guilty to charges of domestic abuse against two people from the Philippines who worked at his residence in the U.S..

"What he did was violate local law in which he is assigned. This has tarnished the image of this country," declared the Control Yuan is Taiwan's national ombudsman's office
