Oldbury on Severn - a nuclear power plant (NPP) of the oldest in the world today finally closed. Nuclear power plants in the UK, had previously been operated for 44 years.

Some residents had complained when the Oldbury nuclear power plant was built in 1960. "No one wants to see a nuclear plant is located in front of his house. But then, people have to accept it because they do not know about radiation," explained Allan Knap one resident told Reuters on Wednesday (02/29/2012).
Two German companies E.ON and RWE Oldbury rumored to be building a new nuclear power plants. This new facility is estimated to be six times larger than the previous capacity. Rencanan this project will be completed in the coming 2025.
