Life story of
Barack Obama Caregiver Transvestite Small
At one time, Evie have treated "Barry" Obama, a child who later grew into the most powerful men in the world. Obama is now live transgender caregivers fear on the streets. He threw the flowers dress, brocade vest, and clothing in a woman he once had.
Evie was born as a man, but believe he was actually a woman. All his life, Evie must bear the insults and punches because his identity is. In this special report The Associated Press, he told me, a soldier who never shave off his hair long and black and burnt cigarette into his arm.
When he saw his bloated corpse floating in a canal that transvestites water disposal two decades ago, Evie immediately takes all female clothes and store them in two big boxes. Lipstick mark lipstick, powder, eye shadow, and he gave to the people.
"I know in my heart I am a woman, but I do not want to die like [my partner]," said Evie, now 66, with a slightly trembling lips. "So I take it ... I now live like this, as a man, since the incident."
Indonesia attitude towards the transvestites are very complicated.
No one knows for sure how many transvestites who live scattered in Indonesia, but activists estimate there are 7 million transsexual living in Indonesia.

Indonesia attitude towards the transvestites are very complicated.
No one knows for sure how many transvestites who live scattered in Indonesia, but activists estimate there are 7 million transsexual living in Indonesia.
Transvestites in Indonesia often hold a beauty contest, worked as a singer, or at the beauty salon, sometimes even a talk show host on TV, as Dorce Gamalama.
Even so, there are deep social resentment against transvestites. When the transsexual character appeared in the comedy television, they become the butt. They rather hide in the community after the emergence of attacks by Islamist groups.
Indonesia Ulema Council had already issued a fatwa that the transvestites have to live life according to sex when they are born, because each sex has an obligation to be fulfilled, namely reproduction.
"They must accept their gender," said Ichwan Syam, a scholar MUI.
"If they do not want to cure themselves of medical or religious, they must accept the fate to be insulted and abused."
Many transvestites turning to commercial sex workers due to work very hard to find, and they still want to live up to their true gender. While doing the work, their risk of AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.
As Evie, many other transsexuals who decide that it's better to hide their true feelings. There also are fighting back. Last month, 50-year-old transsexual applying to become a member of the commissioner of the National Commission on Human Rights.
Paparazzi camera flashes occur when Yuli Retoblaut luxury minivan out of the car loan is black. "I'm too ugly to be a prostitute, but I could be their bodyguard," Yuli said, laughing.
The threat of violence in Indonesia against transvestites are very real: National Human Rights Commission reported that there were 1000 reports of torture per year, from murder to rape to interference with the activities of their organizations. Around the world, at least one person killed per day, according to Trans Murder Monitoring Project, which collects reports of murder.
Evie chose his name because he thought that name sounded sweet. But, he pulled out his ID card and show his real name, Turdi, and gender on identity cards listed as male.
Some people who have been living in Menteng where Obama lived confirmed that Turdi worked there for two years. Turdi also care for Obama's sister, Maya, who was still a baby. When asked about the caregivers, the White House would not release a comment.
Evie now lives in a small hut, in a slum in east Jakarta. On most days he was a laundry worker, collecting clothing and wash the dirty clothes, to eat everyday. He wore baggy blue jeans and white T-shirt cut advertise a quiet resort and beautiful beach, a place far away that he had never visited.
Evie spoke quietly, politely, and there is worry wrinkles on his forehead.
As a child, Evie often beaten by his father, who hated to have children a "sissy". "He wanted me to act like a boy, but I do not feel as a man," he said.
After being humiliated and tortured, he was out of school after third grade and began learning to cook.
Evie turned out very good at cooking, she also worked in the kitchen at some officials as a teenager. He remembers those days with a smile. And at a banquet in 1969, Evie met Ann Dunham, Barack Obama's mother, who arrived in Indonesia two years ago after marrying an Indonesian man, Lolo Soetoro.
Dunham was very impressed with the steak and fried rice made Evie. Obama's mother was eventually offered a job for Evie. Soon, Evie Barry became a nurse at age 8, became a friend to play, as well as pick from and take to school.
The neighbors remember that they often saw Evie out of the house at night wearing a full dress and makeup. However, Evie said, he doubted Barry knows it.
"He was very young," said Evie. "And I never let him see me with the garments of women. But he never saw her mother's lipstick I try, sometimes. He is always happy to see him laughing."
When the family moved from Indonesia in the early 1970s, things began to deteriorate for Evie. She lives with her boyfriend. However, the relationship has failed three years later, Evie was a sex worker.
"I tried to work as a maid, but no one wants to hire me," said Evie. "I need money to buy food, shelter."
Evie must cat and mouse with security guards and - because it was Indonesia under Suharto's rule - with the army. They often collect a "sissy", raising them to the truck, and transport it to the field, where the drag queen is kicked, beaten, tortured, and abused.
In 1985, everything changed. He and his topsy-turvy in the dark alleys to escape from a stick at. A transvestite who is very pretty, Susie, jump into the water canal full of garbage.
After things calm down, they fled back into place, looking for Susi.
"We are looking for all night," said Evie, who is still haunted by her friend's face. "Finally ... we found him. Situation is very pathetic. His body was swollen, his face destroyed."
Evie is now seeking peace through religion, he regularly went to the mosque for prayers five times a day. According to Evie, he's just waiting to die. "I do not have a future again."
Evie Barry said he did not know that he ever raised later became President of the United States in 2008. Until then Evie saw a family photo that was once the employer in newspapers and local TV. He claimed to know them.
"I do not believe it," he said, then smiled broadly.
His friends initially laughed and thought Evie was crazy, but those living in Menteng In confirming the story Evie.
"A lot of neighbors who know Turdi ... He was popular here, at the time," said Rudy Yara, who still lives across the former home of Obama. "He was kind and very patient in the care of Barry."
Evie hopes that caring for the former will use his power to help people like him against the oppressors. Obama has appointed Amanda Simpson, a transgender, a senior technical adviser at the Commerce Department in 2010.
Create Evie, whose income is not sufficient for everyday life on the streets of Jakarta, Obama's victory in the presidential election in 2008, enough to give him a reason - after all this time - to be proud.
"Now, when people call me trash, I can say is: I first became President of the United States nanny!"
